Sleeper Prop Picks: Patrick Mahomes Anytime Touchdown

For all the times we’ve seen Patrick Mahomes take off with his legs, he’s been kept out of the endzone this year entirely.

Still, he’s rushed for 389 yards on 75 carries during the regular season and another 75 yards on 14 carries in three playoff games.

Mahomes didn’t find the endzone last year in the Super Bowl as a rusher, but he did rush six times for 44 yards. In 2020, he rushed nine times for 29 yards and did run in a score in Super Bowl 54 against this 49ers team.

Mahomes isn’t the biggest QB out there and won’t be running anyone over or getting shoved into the endzone with a tush push, but with everything on the line and his speed he could certainly be worth a play among your Super Bowl props to score an anytime TD.

Sleeper Prop Picks: Jauan Jennings Receiving Yards

Next up in our Super Bowl sleeper props is Jauan Jennings. There’s a real chance Jennings doesn’t see much of the ball behind the likes Deebo Samual, Brandon Aiyuk, George Kittle and Christian McCaffrey. But that’s what makes him a good Super Bowl sleeper bet.

In 13 games played in the regular season he only had 19 catches on 33 targets for 265 yards and one touchdown. In the playoffs, he’s made six catches on nine targets for 69 yards.

Now 61 of those yards in the playoffs came versus the Packers with Samuel going out injured. Last week with both of them in the lineup, Jennings only had eight yards receiving.

But in the regular season he did finish with 25 or more yards on six occasions. Four of those games came while both were in the lineup, while the other two came in games where Deebo got injured or missed entirely.

The Chiefs can only cover so many people and perhaps, Jennings finds himself open for a couple of catches that can net him 25+ yards at good plus-money.

Sleeper Prop Picks: Christian McCaffrey Rushing Touchdowns

The name Christian McCaffrey and words “Super Bowl sleeper props” don’t really add up. But there are lots of types of Super Bowl props to target and FanDuel is offering a 2+ rushing TD prop for CMC that could offer value.

McCaffrey tied with Raheem Mostert for the most combined touchdowns this season with 21 and was fourth in rushing touchdowns with 14.

Now only twice during the regular season did he have two or more rushing scores, but CMC has cranked it up a notch in the playoffs with back-to-back two touchdown games on the ground.

The Chiefs haven’t allowed an opposing RB to score multiple rushing scores all season but CMC is a different beast. He has eight touchdowns in six career playoff games and 33 total touchdowns in his 37 games played with the 49ers.

If anyone can find the endzone twice rushing in Super Bowl 58, it’s him.

Sleeper Prop Picks: Noah Gray Receiving Yards

Unlike on the San Francisco side, there are only a few main key offensive weapons that the Chiefs use.

If the 49ers want to slow down the Chiefs’ passing game, they’ll look to shut down Travis Kelce and Rashee Rice. If they only pick one to double-team, it’s likely going to be Kelce.

Someone else out there has to see some passes from Mahomes and given they lack many explosive downfield weapons, it could very well be backup tight end Noah Gray.

Gray hasn’t seen much action in the playoffs with just nine targets in three games. In those games he’s caught 1, 3 and 2 passes for 20, 16 and 8 yards.

So while none of those numbers have cracked the 25-yard mark, he did do so December 17 versus New England (37 yards), November 26 versus the Raiders (30 yards) and November 5 versus the Dolphins (34 yards).

While other instances have been earlier in the season, Gray also has games of 31, 38, 34, 21 and 25 yards.

Sleeper Prop Picks: Brock Purdy Rushing Yards

Brock Purdy has suddenly become a rushing quarterback. He ran five times versus the Lions for 48 yards and six times versus the Packers for 14 yards. Those were his most rush attempts since running six times for 57 yards versus the Bengals back on October 29.

While that Bengals game and the Lions game last week are the only times he’s eclipsed 30 yards, the Chiefs have been getting gashed on the ground by opposing QBs in recent weeks, giving Purdy some value in the Super Bowl sleeper props.

Lamar Jackson had 54 yards last week versus KC and before that Josh Allen 72, Tua Tagovialoa 25, Easton Stick 77 and Jake Browning 32. Season-long they’ve also given up rushing totals of 32, 29, 30, 31, 47 and 26 in earlier games.

So if Purdy keeps up his current pace of running the ball, he could certainly be in line to get over 30 rushing yards and be a good bet among the best NFL player props.
